1) How many suppliers does Lilac Blue Weddings have?

Lilac Blue has some 400 suppliers from whom wedding gifts are purchased on a regular basis.  Our strength lies in mixing the traditional wedding presents with fun and funky products such as pieces of art, dinner at Gordon Ramsey's, to charity donations.

2) Can we combine household presents with lifestyle items in our List?

Yes, this is what we have been set up to do: combine more standard presents for the home with other ideas such as giving to charity and gardening lessons!

3) How might we benefit from using the Personalised Service?

This service is for couples who, would like some fresh ideas for their List, as well as or instead of household goods (commission a piece of art, have flowers delivered to the home for a year, open a wine cellar, etc.). The Account Manager will also look for different ideas for your List (such as antique silver, etc.) which are not usually available on a Gift List. The Account Manager will also ensure your List always looks fabulous for your Guests to ensure you never run out of ideas for them and always have the right price points covered.

4) How many gifts should I put on my Gift List?

We recommend giving your guests a good choice of gifts. A rule of thumb is half of the number of guests you are expecting to your wedding. So if you are inviting 100 people to the wedding, you should have at least 50 gifts. If you place more you will give your guests more choice when browsing through it.

5) When should our List go Live?

Ideally, your List should be ready by the time you send the invitations to your guests. If it is not Lilac Blue can help on how best to contact the Guests to let them know of your List.

6) How would Guests find out that my List is in Lilac Blue Weddings?

Gift reminder cards can be included in your invitation. Lilac Blue Weddings will send them to you, with no extra cost, by post. Alternatively, if you have a website of your wedding you can display your wedding list details on it for your Guests to view.

7) Some Gift List companies are more expensive than Department Stores – what about Lilac Blue?

Some Gift List companies are more expensive because running Gift Lists is a specialised business. Lilac Blue is seeking to break that mould by offering goods as suggested retail prices. Additional, there is no charge an administration or gift wrapping fee.

8) Can I do my Gift List completely online?

Yes, you can create a List, show it to your partner on a separate PC, amend it and take it Live without meeting or speaking to anyone at Lilac Blue. However, in order to make sure all angles are covered we do seek to contact all our Clients by phone if we do not meet them in person.

9) Can I change the gift selection once the List is live?

Yes, you can update and amend the Gift List online through a password-protected login. If you choose the Personalised Service the Account Manager will be in regular contact to ensure your List is kept up to date and always appeals to your Guests. At any time you may change what is on the List.

10) Is the List up to date?

Yes, you will only be able to purchase items that have not yet been given to the Couple.

11) Can I buy over the phone?

You can purchase online, on the telephone by calling us on 0845 388 1038 or by sending a cheque made payable to Lilac Blue London Ltd.

12) How is my message presented to the Couple?

The Couple will know that you have purchased a gift for them by logging into their password protected part of the website and they will also receive a gift card with your present with your message.

13) Will I be sent a receipt?

You will receive an email confirmation of your purchase.

14) Some Gift List companies are more expensive than Department Stores – what about Lilac Blue?

Some Gift List companies are more expensive because running Gift Lists is a specialised business. Lilac Blue is seeking to break that mould by offering goods as suggested retail prices. Additional, there is no charge of an administration fee.

15) Can I buy one of these as a present for another couple or for myself?

Yes, a Just Shop area on the site will be opening shortly. In the meantime you may purchase items shown by contacting Lilac Blue on 0845 388 1038.

16) What else does Lilac Blue do?
